 Hawk Release at Nicholdale

In late November 2001 several members of the Shelton Land Trust met with Marilyn Kappel of Raptor Rehab at the Nicholdale Farm property to release a juvenile Red Tail Hawk that had been rescued by Doug Young. The bird had been found on the side of Rt. 110 and sent to Raptor Rehab for recuperation. Fortunately, it had no serious injuries and was quickly in shape to return to the wild. Pictures below document the release.
